The following vehicles will be sold at auction at the Michigan State University Police Department, vehicles may be viewed and bids may be entered at the Police Impound Lot, on the west side of the MSUPD building located at 1120 Red Cedar Road, East Lansing MI 48824. Vehicles may be viewed from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on 1/25/2021 through 1/28/2021, an appointment is required.  All bids must be entered by 2PM on 1/28/2021. Timely Warning for Motor Vehicle Theft:   Date Reported: 12-12-2020 Date Occurred: Between 12-11-2020 and 12-12-2020 Location: 1855 Place Apartments Suspect Information: Unknown Vehicle Information: 2015 Beige Chevrolet Malibu Vehicle Registration: Unknown Michigan temporary license plate.   Synopsis: The owner parked their vehicle in Lot 15 on 12-11-2020 at 9:00 p.m. The owner returned to Lot 15 on 12-12-2020 at 8:30 a.m and discovered the vehicle missing. The vehicle was recently purchased and does not have a permanent license plate attached to the vehicle.

East Lansing, Mich. The Michigan State University Police Department is pleased to announce that the department has completed a pledge, which focuses on improving their response to those living with mental illness in their community. The pledge is part of an initiative called the One Mind Campaign started by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), a 30,000 member professional association for law enforcement that provides training, technical assistance, and recruitment services. On August 18, 2020, President Stanley announced a change of plans for Fall Semester, 2020. Effective immediately, Michigan State University is asking undergraduate students, who planned to live in residence halls this fall, to stay home and continue their education remotely. In conjunction with these new plans, the MSU Police Department’s Parking Office will automatically process refunds for the following parking permits: Lot 15 Lot 24 Lot 25 Lot 65 Lot 83 Lot 89 Lot 91 Parking permits provided for the Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, Human Medicine, and Veterinary Medicine student permits will also be refunded.
