On Friday, September 6, 2019, the Michigan State University Police Department received notification of a bomb threat at the Administration Building on campus. Upon notification, the MSU Police Department issued an MSU Alert advising persons to evacuate the Administration Building immediately.
The MSU Police Department is continuing to investigate the bomb threat. At this time, the occupants of the building have returned and are resuming normal operations. The MSU Police Department uses the MSU Alert System to alert the MSU community about certain crimes and notify the community of potentially dangerous situations on or near campus. MSU faculty, staff, registered students and those who subscribe to the system are automatically added as a recipient of the message system.
