Fingerprints
Applicant Prints
Applicant background checks are required in Michigan for certain types of employment and licensing. Examples include employment in schools or health care, private security and investigator licenses and driver education instructor certification. Individuals who deal directly with children and vulnerable adults must also be fingerprinted under the National Child Protection Act.
Utilizing digital technology, fingerprints are now captured electronically and submitted to the Michigan State Police (MSP) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) for processing. This "livescan" technology eliminates the problems associated with ink pads and print cards.
Integrated Biometric Technology (IBT) https://ibtfingerprint.com/state/?st=mi provides digital fingerprinting at locations around the state. If you need applicant fingerprints, please contact IBT for fee information and to schedule an appointment at 1-866-226-2952.
