MSU Police Promote Munford, Rozman and Davis

East Lansing, Mich. Michigan State University Police Department Chief Jim Dunlap is pleased to announce the recent promotions of Sgt. Andrea Munford to the rank of lieutenant, Sgt. Christopher Rozman to the rank of lieutenant and Det. Chad Davis to the rank of sergeant.

In her new position as lieutenant, Munford will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of personnel assigned to the Investigative Division.  Munford oversees the operations of the Special Victims Unit and the Behavioral Threat Assessment Unit, in addition to the Crime Scene Investigation Unit and Evidence Room.

Rozman will be responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing the activities of personnel assigned to the Uniform Division. Rozman will also be responsible for researching and planning for new programs or techniques in order to enhance police services for the MSU community.

As a sergeant, Davis will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of personnel assigned to the Investigative Division, to include the management of investigations assigned to detectives for follow up on criminal complaints.  Davis oversees the MSU Police detectives that are assigned to the MSP Fugitive Team and the Violent Crime Initiative.

Munford began her career with the MSU Police Department in 1997. During her career at MSU Police Department, Munford has supervised the Special Victims Unit, Bike Unit and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit and a member of the Small Squad Cadre. Munford received a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from MSU.

Rozman began his career with the MSU Police Department in 2001. During his career, Rozman has served as an assistant division commander for the Investigative Division, Field Training Officer, a member of the Canine Unit, Small Squad Cadre and Task Force officer with the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team. Rozman received a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from MSU.

Davis began his career with the MSU Police Department in 2011. Prior to joining the department, Davis served as an officer at the Lansing Township Police Department. During his career at MSU Police Department, Davis has served as a detective and task force officer on the Violent Crime Initiative. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Ferris State University.
